Under the leadership of our current pastor, Rev. Donnie Chambers, the church continues to minister in the area of prison outreach, teen pregnancy, tutoring, boy scouting, summer programs for youth, summer youth jobs, senior outreach, single parents, computer training and many others.

The Congaree Complex Community Development Corporation (CCCDC) was organized in 2009 to be more proactive in working with the community issues from a spiritual  and physical aspect and be more effective in reaching a community that has the lowest per capita income than any of Richland County.

Our Mission

The mission of the CCCDC is to serve and empower the people of Lower Richland, Columbia and surrounding areas to meet their physical and spiritual needs by providing facilities and opportunities that will ensure full access to a variety of economic and education development, services, jobs, and activities.  We will also provide and assist with affordable housing.

What We've Achieved

Our focus has been on the  provision of services to economically disadvantaged children, adults, elderly persons, and other groups needs who reside within our targeted community and surrounding areas.  We intend to continue to improve educational outcomes for youth, activate activities that show promise in creating sustainable livable wage employment for all working age residents of our largely rural community and generally contribute to the improvement of the overall quality of life for people who live or work here or occasionally visit.

All of the members of our Board of Directors have deep roots as residents of Lower Richland for their entire lifetime and are well aware of the needs of the majority of families and community at large.
